Nordic Walking
 ~Nordic Walking is defined as fitness walking with specially designed poles.

It evolved from an off-season ski training activity know as ski walking,

hill bounding or ski striding to become a way of exercising year-round. Ski

walking and hill bounding with poles has been practiced for decades as dry

land training for Nordic Skiers. Thru Nordic Walking you are able to use 90%

of the muscles in your body vs. 50%-70% thru regular walking. It also allows

you to burn 20%-46% more calories the regular walking while reducing the

stress on you hips, knees & back.
